Development squad player Aaron Dunsmore has extended his contract with Hibs until 2017.
The 18-year-old right-back has been a regular for Joe McBride’s under-20 side in the SPFL Development League this season and has also twice made the bench for the first team. The lifelong Hibs fan, from Musselburgh, aims to start forcing his way more prominently into head coach Alan Stubbs plans. “I’m delighted to have agreed the extension to my contract,” Dunsmore told Hibs’ website. “To be able to play for the team I’ve always supported is a dream come true. Hopefully now I can continue working towards making the step up into playing for the first team.
“Being involved as an unused substitute with the first team meant a lot to both me and my family. It was a great experience and one that I would love to taste again sometime soon.”
Kleton Perntreou, Scott Martin, Lewis Allan and Conner Duthie have all stepped up from the development squad to make their first-team debuts this season.
