JASON CUMMINGS and Martin Boyle both scored hat-tricks as Hibs under-20s easily disposed of Kilmarnock in a 7-0 home rout last night.
Boyle bagged his treble within 31 minutes, with Cummings notching two goals and Jordan Sinclair one in the first period.
Cummings got his hat-trick with a fine strike from outside the area after the interval to complete the scoring for Joe McBride’s side.
The goal rush started in the seventh minute as Cummings drilled home from the edge of the box from Scott Martin’s pass.
It took seven minutes for the next goal to come, this time it was Boyle who tapped the ball home as Devlin Mackay spilled Conner Duthie’s shot.
In the 21st minute it was 3-0, Cummings received the ball as Hibs countered and rounded MacKay before applying the finishing touch.
Then came a spell of three goals in five minutes as Hibs kept up their ruthless assault on the Kilmarnock goal.
First, Sinclair saw his drive from 25 yards dribble through Mackay’s legs and into the net in the 26th minute.
Two minutes later and it was 5-0 as Boyle scored from inside the box before he sealed his hat-trick to make it 6-0 to the hosts before the break.
The second half saw Hibs continue to dominate, and it was in the 59th minute that Cummings grabbed his hat-trick as his 20-yard drive flashed beyond Mackay.
Hibs continued to flood forward, but could not add to the lead despite Aaron Scott seeing a shot headed off the line, Duthie hitting the bar and Taylor Hendry firing just over the bar.
