HIBS UNDER-20s made it two from two in the SPL U-20 league with a thumping 8-1 win over St Mirren at Prestonfield, Linlithgow, last night.
The star of the show was teenage striker Ross Caldwell, who bagged a hat-trick. Caldwell, who has appeared from the subs’ bench in all of the first-team’s matches this season, also helped lay on two goals for Danny Handling, while Dean Horribine, Bradley Donaldson and Jay Doyle got on the scoresheet.
They were 5-0 up at half-time and only conceded late on in the match to a penalty. Sean O’Hanlon and Pa Kujabi were given a run-out as over-age players, while David Stephens also played in defence.
