Hibs boss Alan Stubbs today pulled of another surprise signing, revealing he’s snapped up former Hearts defender Adam Eckersley.
The 30-year-old has agreed a short-term deal with the Easter Road club until January.
Eckersley began his career with Manchester United and then spent six years in Denmark before joining Hearts last season.
He said: “I am delighted to have signed for Hibs. We have a strong squad here and I will be working hard to push myself into the manager’s plans.
“I know I can do well here and I am looking forward to helping the team in the coming months.”
Stubbs said: “Adam strengthens our defensive options and adds competition for places in defence. He has shown his ability at this level in the past and I am confident he will make a positive contribution here.”
