Hibs Ladies have signed left-back Rachael Small from Aberdeen.
The 24-year-old, who has played 28 times for Scotland, is the fiancee of Hibs winger Martin Boyle. The couple got engaged last month during a holiday in New York.
Small, who will join up with her new team-mates when the Scottish Women’s Premier League restarts on July 31, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining, Hibernian are a big club in both men’s and women’s football. I’ve played against them for many years now and they’ve always been ranked as one of the top teams in Scotland. To be here is a privilege and I am looking forward to getting started.
“I’ve just come back from injury, I’ve been out for six weeks with a niggling knee injury, so my fitness is not where it wants to be, so I’m going to be using this mini pre-season to get fit and start competing for a place.
“I know it is going to be a tough ask as they have won the League Cup and are competing on all fronts, and with Europe round the corner everybody is fighting fit and going for those positions. It’s going to be a big task, but it’s one that I’m looking forward to.”
