Oli Shaw took his tally to 25 goals for the season, claiming yet another double as Hibs maintained their Scottish Development League title challenge with a 3-0 win over Dunfermline.
Fraser Murray had nodded the young Hibees into a 1-0 lead at half-time in the game played at Kelty Hearts’ ground New Central Park.
But it took Shaw – currently on loan at Stenhousemuir – only 20 seconds after the restart to double their advantage, knocking the ball home at the second attempt following a good pass from Adam Watson before claiming Hibs’ third in the 62nd minute with a free-kick from 20 yards.
However, Hibs were reduced to ten men for the final two minutes of the match after midfielder Scott Martin picked up his second yellow card of the game. Hibs now face Celtic on at Lennoxtown on Thursday (kick-off 7pm).
