ALAN STUBBS is relishing the prospect of selecting from four strikers in goalscoring form as Hibs head for Alloa Athletic this Saturday.

Dominique Malonga and Franck Dja Djedje both scored in last weekend’s 3-0 win over Dumbarton. And Jason Cummings and Martin Boyle, both subs against the Sons, showed they are eager to earn a return to the starting line-up by bagging hat-tricks for the under-20s in their 7-0 win over Kilmarnock in the Development League on Tuesday night.

“Jason and Martin have certainly given me something to think about with their hat-tricks the other night,” said Stubbs.

“It’s great for strikers to get goals and the fact they both got three will do their confidence good. They only played fifty minutes each so they’ll be raring to go for the weekend.”

Stubbs expects to have a full squad available for selection this weekend with the exception of Sam Stanton, who is building up his fitness following a bout of mumps, and Farid El Alagui, who is working towards a return following six months out with a ruptured Achilles. That means Scott Allan will be available after missing out last weekend through illness.

“Scott’s fine,” confirmed Stubbs. “He’s trained and there’s no problems there. Sam lost a bit of weight through having the mumps but he’s been doing little bits with the group as we drip-feed him back in. Farid’s training with the main group and doing really well, but he will dictate when he feels ready to return. We’ve not got a date in mind yet.”
