A LAST-GASP penalty by Ross Caldwell earned Hibs Under-20s a victory over Aberdeen last night.

The young striker bagged a double as the Easter Road side ran out 2-1 winners at Livingston’s Energy Assets Arena.

Aberdeen took the lead through Andrew Considine after only 12 minutes but Caldwell swept home the equalising goal in 71 minutes.

Caldwell, who had been on the bench for last weekend’s derby defeat by Hearts, snatched the points in the dying seconds in controversial circumstances, slotting home from 12 yards after Scott Rumsby was judged to have handled in the area despite the ball appearing to have hit him on the chest.
