Hibs kid Sam Stanton’s sparkling form was today rewarded when the midfielder was named in the Scotland Under-21 squad for next Wednesday’s friendly against Hungary at Tannadice.

The 19-year-old, who has started just four first-team matches for Terry Butcher’s side scoring two goals, is joined in the squad by team-mate Danny Handling, who has also yet to win his first cap at this level, and Hearts pair Jordan McGhee and Callum Paterson.
