Hibs academy coaching manager Eddie May has tipped on-loan Southampton winger Jake Sinclair to take the Scottish Championship by storm this season.
The 19-year-old, who arrived at Easter Road at the end of the transfer window and came on as a substitute in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Cowdenbeath, played in the club’s Under-20s match at home to Motherwell last night, which the Steelmen won 3-1.
Despite the setback, Sinclair was a lively threat throughout and May expects him to make a positive impact on the first team.
“Jake has got a very good talent,” said May. “He can beat people with his left or right foot, he scores goals, he creates goals and he has tried to work to his strengths.”
May also reserved praise for winger Alex Harris, who was left out of Alan Stubbs’ match-day squad for the first time this season at the weekend, tipping him to be one of Hibs’ most creative sparks this season.
“I think the two wider boys [Harris and Sinclair], for their ages, if we get them the ball in one-on-one situations, then they will create a lot more chances than most in Scotland.”
