Alan Stubbs has been confirmed as the new manager of Rotherham – with his assistant manager at Hibs, John Doolan, joining him in signing a three-year deal at the English Championship side.

Stubbs led the Easter Road club to their first Scottish Cup victory for 114 years in his final match in charge as they beat Rangers 3-2 at Hampden last month.

The 44-year-old had yesterday agreed a deal to take over at the New York Stadium and the Yorkshire club today announced he had succeeded Neil Warnock in the hotseat.
