Hibs and Hearts were thrown together again when the draw for the fourth round of this season’s William Hill Scottish Cup was made at Hampden this afternoon, giving the Easter Road outfit an immediate chance for revenge after their humiliating 5-1 hammering by their Capital rivals in last season’s final.

Pat Fenlon’s side will enjoy home advantage in the tie of the round, which features three all SPL encounters, with the tie due to be played on December 1 or 2 as the SPL clubs join the rest in the competition, the others being Aberdeen v Motherwell and Ross County v Inverness Caley.

The two Edinburgh clubs shared a 1-1 draw in their first encounter following May’s Hampden showdown, Andy Driver opening the scoring for the Jambos while Leigh Griffiths claimed the first of 11 goals so far this season as he equalised for the Hibees before half-time.

East Juniors outfit Bonnyrigg Rose were handed the carrot of a trip to face SPL side St Mirren if they can beat Brechin City in this weekend’s third round replay at New Dundas Park while Livingston were drawn at home to the top flight’s basement club Dundee.

Celtic will play either Inverurie Loco or Arbroath at Parkhead while Rangers will also be at home, to Elgin City.

William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round draw Aberdeen v Motherwell Partick Thistle v Dunfermline Kilmarnock v Queen of the South Hibernian v Hearts Airdrie or Raith v Deveronvale Turriff United v Albion Rovers or Morton Livingston v Dundee Rangers v Elgin City Forfar or Nairn County v Ayr United Ross County v Inverness Celtic v Inverurie or Arbroath Dumbarton v Hamilton Cowdenbeath v St Johnstone Stranraer or Queen’s Park v Dundee United Stenhousemuir or Berwick v Falkirk St Mirren v Brechin or Bonnyrigg Rose (Ties to be played weekend of December 1-2).
