Livingston’s matchday programme editor has stepped down in wake of controversial remarks printed over Rangers’ liquidation two years ago.

Sections of the Glasgow side’s fans were incensed by what they had read on their visit to West Lothian last weekend, a match they won 1-0.

Livi chairman Gordon McDougall had issued a public apology, insisting there was no malice intended whatsoever. However, the editor has decided to stand down.
