Livingston defender Jason Talbot has accepted a two-match ban for his head-high tackle on Hearts winger Sam Nicholson.
The Lions skipper was only yellow-carded for his challenge on the Hearts winger in Saturday’s 3-2 victory for the Jambos.
Nicholson had to be substituted due to the extent of his injuries and required several stitches in his face.
The Scottish Football Assocation’s compliance officer Tony McGlennan offered Talbot a two-match ban for his offence and the 29-year-old left-back accepted it. He will now miss Livi’s trip to Tynecastle on Saturday and the match at home to Falkirk on February 21.
Livingston also revealed that Talbot personally apologised to Nicholson for the tackle.
