Arthur helps Tynecastle seal three points

Leith Athletic 2

Robbie ARTHUR put Tynecastle in front in the opening minutes after Josh Morris went on a terrific run down the wing. His cross found Arthur unmarked in the box and the striker slotted the ball into the net from close range.

Charles McAleavy doubled Tynecastle’s lead when he picked the ball up on the edge of the box and his powerful shot beat the keeper and found the back of the net. William Bremmer pulled one back for Leith when he broke into to the Tynecastle box and placed the ball low past the keeper.

A few minutes later Leith were level when a ball was crossed in and Jamie Speed turned the ball into his own net. Before the interval Tynecastle went in front when Arthur picked up the ball inside the box and smashed it past the advancing keeper and into the net. Both teams had chances early on in the second half but couldn’t find the net until Arthur gathered the ball and his shot from a full 30 yards took a wicked deflection and left the keeper with no chance to seal the three points for Tynecastle.
