Armadale Thistle 0
Broxburn Athletic 1
TITLE-CHASING Broxburn took the points thanks to a Stewart Cairns strike, half an hour into this game.
It took magic from Craig Young on the right wing to get his cross over and it was met by Cairns who fired it into the net.
Armadale were desperatly seeking an equaliser to secure their Premier status and Broxburn’s Stephen Kiczynski twice thwarted Robbie Feeny with last-gasp well-timed tackles as the later bore down on goal. Aramdale’s Craig Young was then unlucky to see his header cleared off the line and over by the towering Calum Rarity. Lee Holliday, in the visitors’ goal, earned his supper with a double save from the troublesome Feeny. Broxburn held on for the win which sets up this week’s home match with title rivals Penicuik knowing a point would secure promotion.
