Edinburgh City host Vale of Leithen at Meadowbank tomorrow seeking to hold on to pole position in the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League.

Striker Ouzy See started and scored in last week’s 3-1 win at BSC Glasgow and manager Gary Jardine revealed they are trying to sign the trialist on a permanent basis. See has been named in three City squads so far, with another two games permitted before a permanent transfer is required for him to turn out in black and white.

“We’re trying” said Jardine. “He’s desperate to stay, he’s said he’s enjoyed his time. He’s only been here a couple of weeks but he wants to come, we want him to come so we’re hopeful.”

Fellow striker Ross Allum could be back in contention following a groin injury. He took part in the warm-up last Saturday but watched the game from the stand.

Spartans are next to face BSC Glasgow when they welcome Craig Young’s side to Ainslie Park tomorrow. Dougie Samuel’s men were afforded an unexpected weekend off last week when their match away to Threave Rovers was postponed. Edinburgh University make the trip to Broadwood to play Cumbernauld Colts while Preston Athletic host Selkirk at the Pennypit.
