Hibs Ladies manager Chris Roberts insists his side will relish another shot at champions Glasgow City after his side secured their place in the Scottish Cup final.
Roberts’ side overcame Celtic 2-0 at Ainslie Park in their semi-final thanks to goals from Chloe Arthur and Abigail Harrison – the duo returning to haunt their former club.
The Hibees now have a chance to avenge their narrow extra-time defeat to City in the Premier League Cup final back in June when they meet again at Ainslie Park on Sunday, November 8.
“I’m so proud of the girls,” said Roberts, “They produced a solid, dominant performance against a very good side and now we have another final to look forward to.
“We had six players struggling with knocks and niggles and I’m just delighted they have all come through the game unscathed.”
Hibs, who recently clinched a place in next season’s Women’s Champions League, are aiming to finish the season with a flourish.
Although they have given as good as they’ve got in the four fixtures against City this season, the Hibees have yet to come out on top. However, this doesn’t faze Roberts.
“I feel we’ve been getting closer and closer to City and all of our girls are excited and relishing another opportunity to face them this season,” he added.
