Hibs Ladies manager Chris Roberts praised the “professional performance” of his side after they thumped hapless Hamilton Academical 8-1.
The Hibees hit eight against the Accies for the second time this season with Abigail Harrison (4), Chloe Arthur (2) and Lucy Graham (2) all on target.
Roberts said: “The new season has been very stop-start and it has been hard to build and maintain any momentum.
“So, it’s a credit to the girls that they have done so well and produced a very professional performance.”
Elsewhere, Natalie Ross scored the only goal of the game just before half-time as Hutchison Vale lost 1-0 away to Rangers. Whilst disappointed to be beaten, Hutchie boss Andy Enwood was full of praise for his side, saying: “We’ve come a long way from this time last season and I don’t think Rangers could’ve complained had we taken something from the game.”
Meanwhile, Hearts Women picked up their first point of the new season after Michelle Stewart netted in the 1-1 draw with Inverness City at Peffermill. Jambos boss Kevin Milne said: “Games like these are the ones we need to win if we want to survive, but the main thing was that we didn’t lose and I thought the girls performed very well.”
