Jack Guthrie netted a double as Edinburgh Uni came back from behind in the William Hill Scottish Cup to win 2-1 at Strathspey Thistle
The hosts opened the scoring just before half-time when a long kick-out by Strathspey keeper Michael MacCallum was misjudged by Uni defender Duncan Black and Josh Peters took advantage to drive the ball home.
Uni brought on Scott McCrory-Irving at half time and their re-shaped midfield helped to give the team a greater share of quality possession. On 49 minutes McCrory-Irving released Joe Aitken and his low cross was finished by Guthrie.
Uni settled the tie on 76 minutes. A strong run and cross from the left by Finn Daniels-Yeoman was cut back at the far post by Aitken and Guthrie was there to steer the ball home and put the students into the second round.
