Ormiston manager Brian Johnstone insists tomorrow’s match with league leaders Peebles Rovers is a must win for his side.
The East Lothian outfit know that a victory for John O’Hara’s undefeated side would put them nine points clear at the top of the Central Taxis First Division and Johnstone is keen to avoid such a scenario.
“Tomorrow really is a must win match for us if we want to remain in touch with Peebles,” Johnstone said. “We kept ourselves busy over the Christmas break with our training and arranged a couple of friendly matches.”
Ormiston will be without the services of both Dean Woods and Declan Quinn.
Heriot-Watt University will be hoping to get their promotion hopes back on track against Burntisland Shipyard at Riccarton tomorrow, with head coach Chris Smith having a full squad to choose from for the visit of the first-footing Fifers.
“We have a squad of 16 for tomorrow’s match and with a lot of guys returning home from Christmas, it’s good to have that luxury,” admits Smith.
The match at Riccarton has a 3.00pm kick off with the match at Recreation Park a 2.00pm start. Both matches will be subject to pitch inspections.
