Newtongrange came within a whisker of knocking Petershill out of the Scottish Junior Cup after Kris Renton had given them an early lead in their second-round tie.

However, the home side hit back to claim a 1-1 draw and will travel to New Victoria Park for a replay on Saturday.

Musselburgh romped to 7-1 win at home to Johnstone Burgh. Sean Jamieson scored four for Mussy, with Jackie Myles, Steve Thomson and Brian Martin providing the others.

Bonnyrigg beat Montrose Roselea 6-1 withEwan Moyes, Wayne McIntosh, Andy Kidd, Kieron McGachie and Fraser McLaren all getting on the score sheet.

Bo’ness ran out 5-0 winners at home to Aberdeen East End. Their goals came from from Ross Campbell, a Pedro Moutinho double, Stewart Devine and Ross Philp.

Penicuik came from behind to defeat Brechin Vics 2-1. Greg Ross grabbed an equaliser before Keith Lough got his first goal for the club with the winner.

A late penalty from sub Steven Pudledski gave Dalkeith a fine 1-0 win at home to Kirriemuir.

Elsewhere Broxburn crashed out 3-1 at home to Whitletts but Fauldhouse held Ayrshire cracks Hurlford to a 2-2 draw.

Easthouses came from behind to grab a 3-3 draw at Saltcoats. Livingston had a great 2-1 win at home to Largs while Arniston drew 2-2 at Larkhall.
