League wins for Bo’ness and Linlithgow
FIFE & LOTHIANS CUP
Penicuik Athletic 2
In a hard-fought second-round tie, both sides struggled to gain the initiative and generally cancelled each other out throughout the first half. However, right on half-time a deep cross to the back post by Keith Lough saw Ross Montgomery volley home the opening goal. The second half produced much of the same until the 81st minute when substitute Kyle Scott slotted home after excellent work by Montgomery.

Broxburn got on level terms with a solo Kieron Anderson goal two minutes after the break. Anderson got his second from the spot after a handball on 70 minutes. Craig Purves then got his head to a ball at the back post to score high into the net. The fourth Penicuik goal came when Alexander Miller met an Anderson cross to fire home. Goal of the game came from the captain Nicholas Locke, who juggled the ball past four defenders to score by way of the back post.

A PIN-POINT cross from Ross Gray in the 27th minute was finished off by Tommy Coyne to give the visitors a well-deserved lead with the same partnership combining for Coyne to bag his brace just before half-time. Coyne was again involved when he set up Kevin Kelbie for Rose’s fourth.
