SECTION A of the East of Scotland Qualifying League saw a remarkable goal frenzy last night, with both games producing ten goals.
Civil Service Strollers were destroyed 8-2 at home by Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale. Jamie Butler hit his second brace in two games, while Omar Ali and Sean Wringe also struck doubles for Vale. Chris Milligan and Ritchie Wilkes netted for the visitors.
Meanwhile, Tynecastle beat Eyemouth United 6-4 in Berwickshire, with Ousman See and Kevin Brown both scoring twice and Tony Muir and Kyle Fee also on target.
In Section B, Calum Murray’s two goals set Edinburgh University en route to a 3-0 victory at Ormiston. In the same group, Hawick Royal Albert won 5-2 at Duns.
Leith Athletic were a goal down to Burntisland Shipyard after ten minutes of their Section C match at Meadowbank 3G but recovered to win 5-1. Robbie Mason (2), Darren Smith, Euan Campbell and Lewis Tracey were all on target for Leith.
In the same section, Craigroyston won 3-1 at Edinburgh University, with Mark Hendrie, Paul Lynch (penalty) and Michael Sommerville on target for the victors. Heriot-Watt, who ended the match with ten men, scored through Andy Forbes.
In Section D, Berwick Rangers Reserves lost 3-1 at home to Coldstream while Easthouses Lily won 5-3 at Peebles Rovers.
