Preston Athletic have been rewarded for their weekend heroics with a trip to Hampden after they were drawn against Queen’s Park in the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

David Bingham’s side, who beat Huntly 4-3 in the first round on Saturday, will play the League Two Spiders on Saturday, October 5.

There were also decent draws for other local Lowland League sides, Spartans being drawn away to Albion Rovers, Edinburgh City hosting Fraserburgh at Meadowbank, while Whitehill Welfare will also play League Two opposition in the shape of Stirling Albion at Forthbank. East Super League junior champions Linlithgow Rose will travel north to play Deveronvale.
