PRESTON ATHLETIC will travel to face League One side Ayr United in the third round of the William Hill Scottish Cup – should they overcome Queen’s Park in this Saturday’s replay.

David Bingham’s side drew 2-2 with the Spiders at Hampden and will look to finish the job when the two sides meet again at the Pennypit this weekend.

Fellow Lowland League outfit Whitehill Welfare, who host Stirling Albion in a second-round replay, will be aiming to book a trip to play Turiff United of the Highland League in the next round.

Edinburgh City will host League Two side Montrose in the next round should they see off in Fraserburgh in their replay, while junior side Linlithgow Rose, who drew 2-2 at Deveronvale last weekend, will be battling to secure a trip to Albion Rovers. The League Two team defeated of Spartans in the second round.
