Spartans had to settle for a point after an entertaining 1-1 draw against Dalbeattie Star.
Spartans started the game well and Paul-Jon Sludden’s strike was well saved by Euan Drysdale.
Sludden eventually found that opener for Spartans in the 31st minute, collecting the ball on the edge of the box and firing a powerful shot beyond the reach of Drysdale.
Dalbeattie started the second half well and Lewis Sloan got his side back on level terms in the 50th minute.
Both sides has chances as they pushed on, looking for a winner in what was an end-to-end second half.
The visitors had keeper Drysdale to thank for a couple of vital saves and Dalbeattie came close to snatching a winner as the game went into injury time, however Danny Dunglingson’s shot hit the outside of the post and bounced clear.
