Spartans responded well to going behind early on, fighting back to secure a convincing win away to BSC Glasgow.

The home side took the lead in just the ninth minute as Chris MacDougall finished off a neat counter attack by blasting the ball into the net form a few yards out.

Spartans showed a lot of character however and levelled in the 26th minute when Mike Bruce was at hand to head the ball into the net after Danny O’Donnell hit the post.

Just two minutes later and Spartans were ahead. A cross from Willie Bremner found Kevin Motion on the centre spot and his header bounced off a BSC defender and into the net.

Ally MacKinnon could have extended the lead further before the half however the defender managed to put the ball out for a throw in with a strike from just six yards out.

Spartans got their third goal in the 58th minute. Keith McLeod saw his strike from 12 yards out parried by the BSC keeper, however the ball fell to Motion hit a half volley into the far corner.

The visitors were now in full control and Bremner then sealed the victory with a stunning 25-yard strike which flew into the top corner of the net.
