The Alex Jack Cup kicks-off this weekend with both Tynecastle and Ormiston in action.
Stephen McKenzie’s Tynecastle travel to Kelso United for their first round clash, with Robbie McIntyre the only injury concern for Tynie after picking up a knock in last weekend’s 7-2 win over Craigroyston.
“The League is our main focus, but it would also be nice to go on a little cup run as well,” said McKenzie.
There is an all-First Division tie at Recreation Park as Brian Johnston’s Ormiston face Duns.
Johnston should be able to field his two new signings, both of whom have been recruited from the junior ranks in Darren McGrath from Musselburgh and Stephen Glynn from Dunbar United.
“Our preparations have gone well and training has been very positive. Duns will provide a good test after their victory over Heriot Watt last weekend, so it will be a tough game.”
