Royal High School S1 football team has received a new set of strips from the Bangla Kitchen Indian takeaway in Davidson’s Mains.

The sponsorship was a reward for finishing runner-up in the league behind Broughton High and reaching the last 16 of the Scottish Cup.

Royal High S1 is also playing in the regional finals of the SFA Cashback Sevens in May.

The team visited Manchester and Newcastle to play English opposition. A trip to St James’ Park to see Newcastle United take on Crystal Palace in the English Premiership was also part of the schedule for the 27 players able to travel from a squad of more than 30.

Next season two teams could be up and running – a first at Royal High.
