THERE was a logjam at the top of the leaderboard as the Edinburgh & East Golf Alliance staged its penultimate event of the season at Glenbervie.
Six players carded one-under scratch scores of 70, including Andrew Oldcorn (King’s Acre), Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe) and David Patrick (Elie).
The host club’s Derek Fish was also in the group and so, too, were Peebles pair Colin Fraser and Jamie Morris (who has also won this season’s handicap order of merit).
A field of just under 90 were competing for the Alliance Trophy and that went to Fraser courtesy of his better inward half.
He also shared the top handicap prize with fellow scratch player Fish and Niddry Castle’s Hugh Fraser, who had a 72 less two.
West Lothian’s William Marr claimed the senior spoils with a net 74 playing off ten.
