GREENBURN pro Scott Catlin and Glencorse amateur Sean McGarvey are the early pacesetters in this season’s Edinburgh & East of Scotland Alliance order of merit races.
After two events, Catlin and McGarvey are sharing the lead at the top of the scratch rankings with 113 points, while the latter is also out in front in the handicap list with 37.5 points.
In the latest event, at Royal Musselburgh, the scratch spoils were shared between McGarvey and Glenbervie’s Derek Fish with one-under 69s.
Catlin was one adrift along with fellow pros Jonnie Cliffe (Murrayfield) and Scott Grieve (Turnhouse).
The handicap honours went to Falkirk Tryst’s Daniel Airens, who claimed the Jordan Trophy with a net 67 off ten.
He finished two shots ahead of Stuart Brown (Glencorse).
