European Tour player Scott Jamieson joined former Hibees and now Old Firm rivals, Scott Brown and Steven Whittaker, to celebrate the launch of the clubgolf camps.

Brown and Whittaker helped launch the new junior golf camps being held throughout Scotland this summer in the countdown to the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.

Bathgate and Harburn are the two Lothians clubs hosting the camps, which are being run by clubgolf, the national junior initiative.

The camps will be a week-long holiday programme (July 2-6) at 50 clubs and golfing venues which hold the successful clubgolf programmes.

Running over consecutive days, the camps will provide children with up to 20 hours of coaching at just £25 for the week.

“We are hugely encouraged to see that so many clubs and facilities in Scotland have embraced this new opportunity as another way of building on their successful junior programmes,” said clubgolf manager Jackie Davidson.
