NEIL FENWICK upstaged former Open champion Paul Lawrie to secure one of the biggest paydays of his pro career.

The Edinburgh man, a growing force on the Tartan Tour, beat Lawrie by seven shots in landing the £5600 top prize in the Carnegie Invitational at Skibo Castle.

Five shots clear after a spectacular seven-under 64 in the opening round, Fenwick coasted to victory after adding a 73 for a five-under total.
