Ratho Park cashed in on home advantage to win the Edinburgh Inter Club Tournament for the second time in three years.
The hosts, represented by Ross Boyle, David Campbell, Stuart Imrie and Robert Dobbie, beat near neighbours and defending champions Turnhouse by one hole in the title showdown.
Dobbie and Boyle were five down at one stage before clawing their way back to only lose three down.
With the second pair of Imrie and Campbell three up coming down the 18th, this meant the final was all square as they started the last hole. A wild tee shot by Turnhouse man Paul Pentland meant it was advantage Ratho Park and Imrie calmly rolled in a six-foot putt for the win.
In an event played in strong winds from start to finish, Ratho had earlier defeated Craigmillar Park, Bruntsfield Links and Royal Burgess. Meanwhile, Duddingston won the Senior equivalent after beating Swanston New 3&2 in the final at Liberton.
Iain Stavert, Mike Power, George Wither and Ian Fraser formed the title-winning team while Swanston New were represented by Graeme Millar, Stuart Robertson, Alex Mackenzie and Andrew Hunter.
“The spirit displayed throughout the entire competition was refreshing with all teams getting the balance right between competition and friendship as a few old rivalries were renewed,” said Liberton secretary John Masterton.
