Close to 150 kids took part in the Stephen Gallacher Foundation ‘Finals Day’ at Kingsfield Golf Club outside Linlithgow.
Gallacher was there to see the youngsters he is inspiring through becoming a Ryder Cup player and also to hand out the prizes.
Scottish Hydro pros Paul McKechnie, George Murray and Chris Kelly also lent their support, as did Golf Fit’s Craig Tumblety. The day featured a “Short Game” World Match Play Championship, run by Jane Connachan with assistance from fellow pros Colin Gillies and David Burns.
That was won by Abby Steedman while, in one of the various finals, Liam Currid pipped Janie Fulton in the nine-hole under-14s stroke-play after both carded 35 points.
