Murrayfield Golf Club has the honour of staging Edinburgh’s only Tartan Tour Pro-Am this year.

It is taking place on September 12 and entails a new partnership between Capital-based AWG Property and Steelwork, a city charity that works with vulnerable and disadvantaged people in need.

“As a property developer we felt this partnership had a good fit, given our residential development history,” said Angela McCabe of AWG Property.

“We are determined to raise as much money as we can to support Streetwork in Edinburgh.”

The cost is £500 per team and includes coffee/bacon rolls on arrival and a two-course dinner afterwards, with all proceeds raised going directly to Streetwork.

“Our partnership with AWG Property enables us to reach more people in need on the streets of Edinburgh,” said chief executive Claire Gibson.

Murrayfield pro Johnnie Cliff believes the event is a good fit for the club and expects a healthy entry.

“Murrayfield Golf Club has a strong focus on youth development and we are delighted to support the Streetwork and all they do for the Edinburgh community,” he said.

“The course is already in incredible condition and it will be exceptional come the Pro-Am.”
