EUROPEAN Tour stars Stephen Gallacher and Richie Ramsay helped Kingsfield Golf Course raise £14,000 for the On Course Foundation through its annual Katie’s Cup event.

More than 120 players teed it up at the Linlithgow venue and also dug deep in an auction that featured items donated by both Gallacher, who is based at Kingsfield, and frequent visitor Ramsay.

“This is our third Katie’s Cup event and to have raised £14,000 is outstanding,” said Kingsfield owner Robert Arkley. “I would like to thank the Kingsfield Golf Society for organising the event, Lee Fraser and his team for having the course in such good condition, the BBC’s Brian McLauchlin for hosting the auction, Stephen Gallacher and his caddie, Damian Moore, for helping source prizes from some of the world’s best golfers. I would also like to thank all those golfers who took part. Their support is integral to the success of Katie’s Cup.” The On Course Foundation – www.oncoursefoundation.com – provides long-term benefits for wounded, injured and sick (WIS) servicemen, women and veterans through monthly golf skills and employment training events.
