A TIRED Edinburgh Capitals lost 6-2 at Sheffield Steelers last night.

The defeat brings to an end a difficult run of four away fixtures in five nights, and stretches the Murrayfield outfit’s winless streak to nine games.

Jade Portwood and Rene Jarolin were on target for the visitors, who trailed 3-2 late in the second period before the Yorkshire men, led by a hat-trick from Canadian forward Colton Fretter, scored three unanswered goals for a comfortable victory.
