Edinburgh Capitals have added some firepower to their line-up with the addition of Canadian centre Les Reaney.
The 6ft 2in, 29-year-old has spent his entire career playing in North America, including the last five seasons in the Central Hockey League where in 2010 he was named a CHL All Star and the play-offs’ most valuable player.
Capitals’ co-owner Scott Neil believes they have signed a player for the big occasion and said: “He’s been a top point scorer in many of his previous teams, he’s a skilled power forward, a real competitor, who can handle himself and brings something different to the club. He had a great junior career and was a top point scorer in his college years.”
Reaney, speaking from his home in North America, said: “I’m really excited to get over to Scotland. We will be working to get the visa cleared as soon as possible.”
