The Edinburgh Wolves kicked off their 2016 BAFA Division 1 North season in style with a convincing 31-0 win away to the Gateshead Senators.

The Capital-based American football team forced 11 turnovers and limited the Senators to just five first downs, two of which came as a result of penalties against the Edinburgh side.

Dave Orr opened the scoring when he managed to grab a Jamie Morrison pass, doing well to keep his feet in bounds at the back of the end zone.

Wolves running back Steve Wilson, who racked up more than 140 yards, ran in their second touchdown before a field goal gamv the visitors a comfortable half-time break.

Quarterback Jamie Morrison went on a mazy 40-yard run-in for the third touchdown before a Stephen McFarlane effort.
