The Edinburgh Wolves continued their record-breaking winning start to the BAFA National Division 1 season and moved to 6-0 following a 41-0 win over the Gateshead Senators at Meggetland.

Running back Steve Wilson was again in fine form as his powerful plays helped the Wolves dominate their opponents.

Stu Galloway made a superb catch on the sideline early on to set up the Wolves in the red zone and Wilson opened the scoring with a run from five yards out. The Wolves doubled their lead on their next attacking play when quarterback Jamie Morrison found David Orr in the end zone with a short pass. George Fell then scored the touchdown of the day, reeling in a pinpoint 40-yard throw from Morrison to score, leaving three defenders in his tracks.

Quarterback Morrison then got in on the scoring action as he ran in unchallenged following a clever read option play. Wilson added his second of the afternoon following a mazy run as he forced his way through a couple of tackles.

MVP Adam Ingram then completed the scoring for the Wolves as he caught another accurate Morrison catch.

The Wolves return to their former home Meadowbank this Sunday as they face the Yorkshire Rams in their last regular home game of the season.
