The Edinburgh Wolves Gridiron team are hoping to continue their impressive form as they return to Meadowbank following five away trips in a row.

The BAFA National Division 1 North side have won six out of their seven games this season since stepping up to the newly formed National Division 1 North. This weekend they host the only other Scottish side in the Division, the Clyde Valley Blackhawks.

Wide receiver Lloyd Dignan has been in superb form and his ability to score from anywhere on the park has been key in the Wolves success so far this year. However, he knows it’s the improvements across the entire team that has been the biggest contribution.

He said: “The team is getting better and better as the season goes on. I feel like the offensive line are developing greatly as a unit and giving our quarterback Jamie Morrison more time to throw the ball. It means our receivers, me included, have a greater chance to make big plays. There is a lot of pressure, as the coaches expect a lot of us after last year but we all have big shoulders and we’ve really enjoyed the progress we’ve made so far.

The game kicks-off on today at 2.30pm. Tickets are £5.
