The Edinburgh Wolves completed their BAFA Division 1 National Conference North regular season with a best-ever nine wins and one defeat following a 43-6 victory over the Gateshead Senators.
Wide receiver Lloyd Dignan continued his impressive form with a hat-trick of touchdowns, taking his tally for the season to 19 – a Wolves record.
Kenny McKay was first to score a touchdown before the Senators crossed over to became the first team in five games to breach Wolves’ defence.
The Capital men pulled away, though, as John Young forced a safety and Ejike Wosu scored his first touchdown of the season.
Wolves now head for the play-offs which begin with a home tie against Clyde Valley Blackhawks on the weekend of August 22/23.
