Alan Forsyth celebrated his 100th cap for Scotland with a double as the home side hammered Switzerland 5-0 in their opening game in World League, Round 1, in Glasgow.

Scotland, who play Slovakia on Wednesday (kick-off 7.15pm, again in Glasgow) dominated the opening session and it was no surprise that they led 2-0 at the break.

Kenny Bain broke the deadlock when he fired the ball into the roof of the net from an angle near the Swiss right-hand post and Dan Coultas netted the second seven minutes later when the Swiss goalkeeper failed to clear a cross.

Scotland continued to dominate in heavy rain and testing conditions and made their possession count when they went 3-0 ahead five minutes into the period through Forsyth.

Ex-Grange man Hamish Imrie smashed the ball home with 11 minutes left after a rebound from the Swiss goalkeeper and it was 5-0 seconds later when Forsyth slotted his second following a penalty stroke.
