GRANGE hockey warmed up for their Scottish Cup semi-final joust with Grove Menzieshill in Glasgow this weekend with a 3-0 victory over Edinburgh University.
Davie Reid, Edinburgh’s assistant coach, said: “We learned a lot from the game and there were not three goals in it.”
He was disappointed that his men had not taken their chances but said: “This was an ideal game before we play Aberdeen in our Scottish Cup semi-final on Saturday.”
Elsewhere, Inverleith steadied the ship after their 15-0 defeat by newly-crowned champions Kelburne last week, battling to a 1-1 draw at Hillhead. Andrew Johnson netted.
Elsewhere, bottom club Watsonians continued their disappointing season with a 17th defeat in 18 league matches since being promoted when they lost 5-2 at home to Aberdeen.
