Judo: Burton takes the biscuit

Have your say

Edinburgh’s Euan Burton stepped up in weight to claim the British under-90kg judo title at the English Institute in Sport in Sheffield yesterday.

Burton, bronze medallist at the World Masters the previous weekend at under-81kg, proved too strong for his opponents in the higher weight category.

Clubmate and former European champion Sarah Clark won the women’s under-63kg event with another Edinburgh player, Connie Ramsey, winning the under-57kg class.

It was a good weekend for the Edinburgh club with English-born Sarah Adlington, who also trains at Ratho, winning the over-78kg event and Invergordon’s James Millar taking silver at under-60kg.
