Edinburgh’s Dougie Kempsell tops the seedings for squash’s annual Grange Open at Raeburn Place this weekend.

Defending champion Kempsell, 21, is now ranked 110 in the world after a successful year in which he reached the quarter final of the £10k Italian Open and the semi-final of the £5k Bexley Open.

One of his most notable victories this year came against world No.81, Jonathan Kemp, in the Ipswich Open.

Recent East Open champion Alastair Mutch is second seed while Senga Macfie is ranked ahead of Georgia Jennings and Sabine MacKenzie in the women’s event.

The tournament, which starts tomorrow, has attracted sponsorship from Head Resourcing; TBM Properties and Commercial Water Solutions.
