Kieran Swanson and Aidan Cross are the latest nominations in our quest to identify young sporting all-rounders.

Apart from winning the British under-13 Cycle Speedway title last year Kieran also plays football for The Fife Elite Academy, is the Edinburgh Schools under-13 high jump champion and competes in 200m, 800m, long jump, shot putt and discus for Livingston Athletic Club. He is also an accomplished volleyball player for Queensferry High School.

Aidan, 13, a pupil at Stewart’s Melville College, competes for Edinburgh Athletic Club and is the Scottish National under-13 javelin champion. He is in the 4x200m relay team, who in April won gold at the National Indoor Finals at the Emirates Arena, setting an under-13 Scottish record.

This was followed in June by winning the National Scottish Outdoor 4x100m relay championship at Pitreavie Stadium.

At the 2014 Edinburgh Schools Championship Aidan took gold in the 80m and ran in the 4x100m relay team who won gold and set a new Scottish record.
