Murrayfield curlers Bruce Mouat and Gina Aitken aim to bounce back from recent disappointments when the Scottish Junior Championship qualifiers get underway at the Dewars Centre in Perth tomorrow.

Both suffered mid-season blips at the European Junior Tour in Switzerland last month, while Aitken lost three matches out of four at last weekend’s Scottish Seniors in Dumfries.

Mouat begins his Pool A campaign against Forfar’s Adam Flint and Lanarkshire’s Luke Carson, with club-mates David Baird and Fraser Ewen also involved in Groups B and C. Aitken meets Elgin’s Amy MacDonald and Kinross skip Kirsty Paterson in Section B of the girls’ event.

The top three rinks in each group will qualify for the finals in Aberdeen next month.
